With the Christmas lights being switched on two days before, come and enjoy all that this year's Christmas Fair has to offer in Richmond Market Place on Sunday December 1st 2024, 10am-4pm.

A variety of local entertainers, both on stage and sauntering around the cobbles, will help create a Christmas atmosphere as you wander round the Christmas market stalls, indoor and out, and local shops – you might even do all your Christmas shopping on this one day, sustained by a hot chocolate and delicious food!

And we've already written to Santa who's replied saying he'd love to come.

Join us at Richmond Library for a fun session of sharing stories and rhymes in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Story times are a great opportunity to meet other parents/carers and young children, whilst introducing children to the world of stories and rhymes, helping them develop early speech and language skills and a love of books and reading.
These sessions are free of charge. Suitable for 0-4s and their grown-ups. No need to book, just turn up on the day. Tuesdays 14:30 and Thursdays 10:30

The Polar Express revolves around Billy, who longs to believe in Santa Claus but finds it quite difficult to do so, what with his family's dogged insistence that all of it, from the North Pole, to the elves, to the man himself, is all just a myth. This all changes, however, on Christmas Eve, when a mysterious train visits Billy in the middle of the night, promising to take him and a group of other lucky children to the North Pole for a visit with Santa.
